Watercolor This painting is another from my series of paintings in which I make reference to one of my favorite artists.
The Seamstress
Watercolor A painting of my friend Dianna sewing in my back room. There are referances to two painters I admire, Sorolla and Sargent, taped to the mirror behind Dianna. This was shown in a National Exhibition.
Kristi Cutting
Watercolor This is of my daughter competing in a horse event. The challenge was to capture the movement. This painting was included in a book.
Diving Belle
Watercolor Amy, my granddaughter, was the model for this painting. I photographed her diving in my swimming pool from a high vantage point. I semi-abstracted the format because I was interested in the fragmentation of the water as she dove through it.
Michael
Watercolor Michael was my driver on a ride through Killarney National Park, Ireland. He agreed to stop so that I could photograph him and his buggy. This was shown in a National Exhibition.
The Letter
Watercolor My husbands grandmother, Nina, is reading a letter. She has years of interest in her face.
The Competition
Watercolor Kristi, my daughter, and her husband, Matt, having a chat before a horse competition.
Old King Cole
Watercolor This is my grandson on his first birthday riding on one of his toys. This was shown in a National Exhibition.
Dancing to the Last Light of Day
Watercolor My two granddaughters were dancing, spinning and enjoying themselves, in my backyard, on a warm last day of summer.
Teaparty by the Pool
Watercolor This is a painting of my granddaughters playing in the backyard on a late afternoon at the end of the summer; when the light is low in the horizon, and very warm.
