Watercolor
An allegory is a narrative that usually has another meaning beneath the surface. Although, literally and figuratively, I have placed the book of Gauguin’s paintings under a bell-jar, the meaning is quite clear : I respect his work. The other elements in this painting were selected from the objects I come in contact with every day in my studio. The reflections of light on the surface of the bell-jar are from the sky-lights and windows of my studio.
